Unresolved Positions is an Augmented Reality book that reflects contemporary paradoxes inherent in national borders. My cultural and national background as a South Korean contributes my strong interest in the concepts of division and borders: I regard national borders as a symbolic representation of duality that humankind has created for social and political purposes. In the Unresolved Positions book, each opening page spread becomes a staging ground for an Augmented Reality scene about two adjacent communities, to express their historical/present positions toward each other in non-verbal, spatial terms.
